FAQ: Our solutions and answers to your current inquiries
NürnbergMesse has optimized its powerful ventilation systems: The ventilation systems now use up to 100 per cent fresh external air and run for longer. The air in the halls is exchanged at least six times per hour, in conference rooms at least ten times per hour, i.e. every five minutes. Up to 120,000 cubic meters of air per hour are circulated to ventilate an exhibition hall. The exhaust air escapes on the hall roofs and does not flow back into the exhibition grounds or halls. The fresh air first passes through a filter.
Events in the Nuremberg Exhibition Center thus have an open air quality.
According to current knowledge, the transmission of corona viruses via ventilation or air conditioning systems can be virtually ruled out in this mode of operation. (Source: FGK e.V.)
The ventilation concept adds to the overall and personal protective measures, such as the requirement to keep a distance and to wear a face mask, which are still valid.
The stand design must take into account the necessity of social distancing. This includes, for example, routing or avoiding bottlenecks. It is recommended to set up separate waiting areas. In the case of active presentation of exhibits or product demonstrations, we particularly recommend taking appropriate precautions (e.g. minimum distance from people, hygiene measures at the exhibit, allocation of time slots for presentations).

The visitor guidance system on the stand must ensure that the current minimum distance of 1.50 m between people can be maintained. Compliance with the distance regulations can be ensured, for example, by floor markings, room dividers or traffic light systems.
A minimum width of 2.00 m is recommended for aisles to ensure safe evasion.
The existing hygiene regulations must be observed. In the case of catering, above all the applicable regulations on social distance and the additional official requirements must be taken into account.

Distancing and hygiene rules may lead to delays in assembling and disassembling your stand. We recommend you make full use of the time available at the event for assembly and disassembly.
Be sure to work out your timing in detail, and if possible stagger the different activities involved to ensure smooth workflows.
Ensure all service providers you engage, e.g. stand construction companies, carriers, agency employees, technical services, etc., register in advance and carry an assembly/disassembly pass. If they do not hold such a pass they will be required to register on-site.
Please advise your stand construction company of these conditions as appropriate.
In meeting areas, the seating distance between tables and chairs must be arranged to ensure the participants remain at least 1.50 metres apart. Masks may be removed in these cases if a record
is kept of the participants.
If it is not possible to maintain a minimum distance in particular locations, other measures may be put in place, such as sneeze guards or screens in seating areas.
Hygiene protection screens may be used at the information counter and other counters if it is not possible or practical to maintain a minimum distance of 1.50 metres.
We recommend cleaning and disinfecting door handles, handrails and frequently used surfaces regularly (several times an hour). NürnbergMesse will naturally also provide facilities here.
Process tracking at the exhibition stand
Our exhibitors are required to separately record the contact information of conversation partners (for conversations without face covering). NürnbergMesse is providing exhibitors with LeadSuccess, a lead tracking system, for this purpose.
Evening events and stand parties
As things stand today, stand parties are not permitted during the exhibition, as the required distance rules cannot be enforced here. The same applies to parties at NürnbergMesse.
An exhibitor evening at NürnbergMesse can be organized as a network event in compliance with the existing hygiene regulations and observance of the applicable distance regulations.
