It will be that time again in June, when FeuerTrutz 2022 opens its doors. The International Trade Fair with Congress for Preventive Fire Protection will bring the sector together again at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg on 29 and 30 June 2022, as it resumes its normal scheduling cycle. It is ‘all systems go’ with the preparations, and the prospects are looking very good. “We are more than satisfied with developments with both the Trade Fair and the Congress,” report the organizers, FeuerTrutz Network and NürnbergMesse. “We are very happy with the great level of commitment shown by the sector. In autumn 2021, FeuerTrutz proved that in-person, on-site trade fairs and congresses are possible once again, and are expressly desired by our customers. That gives us the support we need, and we are looking forward to meeting with the fire protection community in June.”

For more than a decade, FeuerTrutz has been Europe’s leading event in the area of preventive fire protection. It combines solutions for passive, active and organizational fire protection in two exhibition halls. “We are in the middle of preparations for FeuerTrutz 2022 and I can already say we are making good progress,” says Stefan Dittrich, Executive Director FeuerTrutz, NürnbergMesse. “Starting this year, FeuerTrutz will take place in Halls 4 and 4A, and in the state-of-the-art NCC Ost Conference Centre. Many key players have already made firm bookings for their stands. That means the professionals can look forward as usual to comprehensive coverage of the latest and most important themes on all aspects of preventive fire protection in the exhibition halls, forums, the supporting programme and, last but not least, the Fire Protection Congress.”

Last autumn, FeuerTrutz was held on-site as an in-person event at the Nuremberg exhibition venue, and impressively demonstrated that trade fairs are once again both possible and necessary – a huge relief for the sector. FeuerTrutz 2022 in June this year will build on this major success. The focus of the event is on personal and professional interaction and networking, and also on getting new projects on track. “We have listened carefully to what our customers are saying,” Dittrich adds. “Meeting in person and engaging in dialogue with trade visitors and congress participants is close to everyone’s heart. But there will still be room for the digital side, since we will once again be offering the best of the digital elements, such as the matchmaking tool, which everyone is already familiar with.”

New and exciting elements in the supporting programme

In addition to the latest industry innovations, on-site visitors can look forward to an extensive supporting programme. The focus this year will once again be on a mix of knowledge-sharing and experience. In the exhibitor forums, the exhibiting companies will display the latest developments, trends, solutions and their latest products and services for the industry professionals, and will be able to engage in professional dialogue with the public. Topics of current interest such as BIM will be covered in depth in one of the forums.

Once again this year, the Fire Protection Experience will be on the agenda, and will impress with a combination of indoor demonstrations at the exhibition stands and the Fire Prevention presentation area outside. That makes it an excellent platform for making “fire protection” something participants can experience first-hand through live presentations.

New this year: The Career Day, aimed at students to encourage an interest in preventive fire protection. The proven Job Board will also provide a range of fascinating opportunities for interested professionals once again.

Fire Protection Congress – straight professional knowledge on-site and via live stream

At the annual Fire Protection Congress organized by FeuerTrutz Network GmbH, prominent experts will speak on the key current issues relating to passive, active and organizational fire protection. One key focal point at the Fire Protection Congress 2022 will be on working with established buildings. Both days of the Congress will focus on professional interaction in addition to sharing professional knowledge. The question rounds following each presentation and on the sidelines of the event traditionally involve in-depth professional interaction among equals – an ideal opportunity to make new contacts and cultivate those already in place.

Additional key subject areas for 2022:

  • Practical knowledge for strategy development (“Fire Protection Plan 1+2”)
  • Fire prevention and wooden structures
  • Fire prevention for batteries – from mobile phones to large-scale storage

Measures to protect our trade fair participants

The robust hygiene strategy developed for the Nuremberg exhibition venue has been successfully implemented and creates an environment in which networking and business can take place in a positive environment and in person.

Good prospects for the early summer: We can respond flexibly to any relaxation of restrictions and are well prepared for any eventuality. Depending on the situation in June, any one of a number of access plans may be put in place. Which is the most appropriate will depend on official regulations in Bavaria at the time of the event, in addition to the number of infections at that point.
