FeuerTrutz makes Nuremberg the hot spot for fire safety professionals

Celebrating a new record of 315 exhibitors1 (287 in 2018), FeuerTrutz 2019, the International Trade Fair with Congress for Preventive Fire Protection, opened its doors today in Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. Until tomorrow, the participating companies will showcase their passive, active and organizational fire protection solutions in Halls 10.0 and 10.1. On a display area of around 6,400 square metres, an increase of 14 percent on the previous year, they will offer a market overview that is unique across Europe. The comprehensive supporting programme offers additional expertise. The Exhibitor Forums, Fire Protection EXPERIENCE with live demonstrations, Training & Career Meeting Point and compact seminars are popular ports of call for fire safety professionals. In the accompanying Fire Protection Congress, high-calibre speakers will explore topical issues in-depth in line with the congress theme “Realising fire protection goals: concepts and solutions for standard and special buildings”. The next round of the trade fair and congress will take place on 24 and 25 June 2020. The new timing will allow the event to relocate into Halls 4 and 4A and Nuremberg Convention Center Ost, facilitating further development of the event.

This year’s round of FeuerTrutz and the fully booked Fire Protection Congress with more than 1,450 delegates are consolidating the growth of previous years: “The clearly defined orientation of the event makes FeuerTrutz the ideal dialogue platform for experts to discuss the challenges in the fire protection sector. Since its premiere in 2011, it has thus evolved into Europe’s leading event for preventive fire protection,” explain Stefan Dittrich, Director FeuerTrutz, NürnbergMesse and Günter Ruhe, Managing Director of the FeuerTrutz Network. With 60 international companies (41 in 2018), representing 21 countries (15 in 2018), FeuerTrutz 2019 is also reinforcing the trend in recent years towards a more international focus. For the first time, overseas companies will also be making a joint appearance. In collaboration with the Eastern European umbrella association ECEU FIRE, four Ukrainian companies will have their own pavilion.

Presentations in Exhibitor Forums fully booked

The supporting programme at FeuerTrutz 2019 offers a wide range of information sources for fire protection designers, certified experts and other fire safety professionals. Participants can find out about the latest innovations and trends in the two Exhibitor Forums. The Specialist Series Forum with presentations in German and English is located in Hall 10.0, while the Experts Talk Arena is located in Hall 10.1.

Fire Protection EXPERIENCE shows products in action

Trade visitors can look forward to seeing fire safety products in action at the Fire Protection EXPERIENCE. With live demonstrations at the exhibition stands and in the outdoor demonstration area, the participating companies convey specialist expertise in a very hands-on and impressive way. Product presentations under realistic conditions will take place in the outdoor demonstration area on both days of the event at 12:00 and 15:00.

Training and career opportunities at FeuerTrutz

The performance of the fire protection sector is closely associated with the building industry, which is currently experiencing a boom. Accordingly, fire protection planning firms, fire safety agencies, manufacturers and installers are looking for skilled personnel with relevant expertise. The FeuerTrutz Job Board lists the latest job vacancies posted by exhibitors, while visitors can also publish “situations wanted” ads. The platform is available online at feuertrutz-messe.de/jobboard and at the venue in Hall 10.1. Newcomers to the industry and fire safety professionals seeking further training need look no further than the Training & Career Meeting Point in Hall 10.1, which presents 16 training and professional development providers.

Informative compact seminars and international workshop

The compact seminars “BRANDSCHUTZDIREKT Löschtechnik” (on extinguishing technology) and “Fire protection in Bavaria” are an additional source of information at FeuerTrutz. The spotlight is on the role of sprinklers and extinguishing equipment to achieve fire protection goals as well as the changes in Bavarian fire protection regulations that affect architects and official agency representatives. The “German Fire Protection” Workshop is designed to provide international participants with an overview of preventive fire protection in Germany.

Get the knowledge edge at the Fire Protection Congress

Whether technical developments, new standards or harmonisation efforts at the European level – fire protection is a complex discipline that is constantly evolving. It is therefore absolutely essential for fire protection designers to actively engage with the latest fire protection issues. The Fire Protection Congress offers them and other fire safety experts the ideal platform for doing so. More than 35 speakers will inform the some 1,450 delegates about issues such as fire protection concepts for special buildings, how the German states are dealing with the MVV-TB (Model Administrative Provisions - Technical Building Code), questions on technical regulations like the Model Industrial Building Code 2019, the latest legislative developments and the discussion about the second escape route. Delegates are awarded points by many professional bodies for attending and can download the presentations afterwards online as webcasts.

FeuerTrutz After Work Party

The fully booked evening event at FeuerTrutz takes place at the Max Morlock Stadium this year. Over regional cuisine and gin tasting, the focus is on networking after the first day of the fair.

New dates and new halls for next FeuerTrutz in June 2020

The next round of FeuerTrutz will take place on in Halls 4 and 4A at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg on 24 and 25 June 2020. The Fire Protection Congress will relocate to the directly adjacent Nuremberg Convention Center Ost. “This means we are creating the ideal framework to enable FeuerTrutz to evolve in the future along with the industry. The modern facilities offer the necessary capacities and will also allow us to further expand the supporting programme,” explains Stefan Dittrich, Director FeuerTrutz at NürnbergMesse. “As the congress was consistently fully booked in recent years we can now better meet the high demand. At the same time, the relocation will provide new opportunities to incorporate topics of future impact with dedicated formats into the supporting programme. Nevertheless, FeuerTrutz will remain true to itself and will continue to focus 100% on preventive fire protection!” says Günter Ruhe, Managing Director of the FeuerTrutz Network.
