Examples of speaker cabling configurations for voice alarm systems in accordance with the requirements of DIN VDE 0833‑4 are discussed.
In particular, the relationships between alarm zones and fire compartments, loop circuits, F30 fire resistance, and data transmission rates for copper data cables are addressed and explained, as well as networking between control units and emergency microphones.
