Correct use of smoke alarms in buildings: the (protection) goal defines the path!

The preconception that smoke alarms should only be installed in private homes persists. However, the use of building products approved in accordance with DIN EN 14604 is also required by law in special buildings such as accommodation facilities. The presentation explains, among other things, what the phrase "bestimmungsgemäß schlafen” is all about and why the protection goals of the Model Building Code (MBO) provide the common thread for planning.
