FeuerTrutz, the only European trade fair and congress to combine active, passive and organisational fire protection solutions, will take place in halls 4 and 4A of Exhibition Centre Nuremberg on 21 and 22 June 2023. It’s where fire protection enthusiasts find products and solutions for fire prevention and containment with an unrivalled range of innovations. Stefan Dittrich, Director of FeuerTrutz at NürnbergMesse, provides insights into current preparations, summarises the highlights for visitors, and explains why FeuerTrutz is an event you absolutely cannot afford to miss.

Mr Dittrich, around three and a half months ahead of the fair, can you give us an up-to-date overview of progress on FeuerTrutz 2023?

Stefan Dittrich: Gladly, because the outlook is extremely promising. In respect of the registrations received and our preparations for the supporting programme I can say that things are going beautifully, and we are very happy! Immediately after the last event, many exhibitors took advantage of the new rebooking option to secure their preferred stand location again for FeuerTrutz 2023. Thanks to this vote of confidence in us, the event had already exceeded the final size of FeuerTrutz 2022 as early as February 2023 – and new registrations are still coming in. We have been working intensively in the background with our partner FeuerTrutz Network to offer the FeuerTrutz family the best possible event. This year, we will once again be adding new features to the supporting programme as pointers to current developments and issues in the industry.

What highlights and new features are you planning for the supporting programme?

Stefan Dittrich: “New meets old” is the best way to describe it. The “A practical guide to digitisation” forum, which – as the name suggests – focuses on the important issue of digitalisation, will make its debut at this round of FeuerTrutz. Practical aspects take centre stage, with real companies from the fire protection segment sharing their concrete experiences and best-case examples of digitalisation. So don’t miss this opportunity to learn more and join the discussions! Also new this year is the talk round "The Red Sofa", in which experts discuss preventive fire protection directly in the exhibition halls. Naturally, the exhibitor forum will be back this year, along with the new asecos forum. As well as presentations by exhibitors on their innovations and solutions, there will also be an expert segment featuring a fire simulation by asecos. The Fire Protection EXPERIENCE, with its live indoor and outdoor demonstrations, will again be one of the annual highlights of the event. In general, we aim to make the topic of “preventive fire protection” even more tangible in Nuremberg. The wide-ranging supporting programme is complemented by the government-subsidised “Innovation made in Germany” pavilion, the FeuerTrutz job board, and the Training & Career Hub. Yet again, the programme offers something for everyone, and it’s certainly worthwhile taking part.

What makes this year’s FeuerTrutz the absolute “place to be” for the fire protection sector again?

Stefan Dittrich: Whenever we talk to visitors or exhibitors about FeuerTrutz they use terms like “trend barometer”, “community gathering” and “major family reunion”. So, if you’re not there you’ll genuinely be missing out! In 2023, there will once again be so much for industry professionals to discover and experience. Nowhere can you access so much expertise and so many trends and solutions in one fell swoop more efficiently than at this two-day event. We look forward to seeing you!
